TRAINING

Per OSHA 1926. 1427 Operators of most cranes above 2,000 lb. capacity when used in construction will need to be either certified by an accredited crane operator testing organization, such as the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), or qualified through an audited employer program.

A Rigger or Signalperson has been trained and certified to handle and move loads safely and efficiently, both vertically or horizontally. They need to demonstrate the ability to resolve problems related to rigging and moving loads safely on every lift. These include, but are not limited to sling capacities, reduction factors, hardware inspections, and proper use.
